Free Procreate Brushes

The free sets are not one-size starter kits. They range from an 8-brush Posca marker set to a 200-brush halftone studio, and they cover most of what people draw on iPad: sketching and line work, paper grain and screen-print texture, watercolor and gouache, oil and soft pastel, anime hatching, tattoo flash, hair, decorative frames and effects, and pixel art.

Because the files are standard .brushset packages, they behave exactly like paid ones — full Apple Pencil pressure and tilt, adjustable size and opacity, and the ability to duplicate and re-tune any brush in Brush Studio.

Free sets are complete: nothing inside is locked, trimmed or watermarked. Premium packs simply cover more ground in one style — more variations of tattoo flash, paper textures or anime line work, often with a video walk-through on the pack page.

The quality bar is identical, so start free, find the styles you actually use, and add depth only where you need it. If you would rather have the whole library on your iPad, the Brusher app has every set in one place, plus free brushes and tools.

You can use artwork you create with our free brushes in commercial work — client illustration, prints, merch and social content. What you cannot do is resell or redistribute the .brushset file itself. When in doubt, the rule is simple: sell what you make with the brushes, not the brushes.
