Free Procreate Brushes

Each free set is built around the brushes people actually reach for first: a reliable sketch pencil, a couple of inking liners, a soft shader and a texture or two. It is enough to take a drawing from rough thumbnail to finished piece without touching the default Procreate library.

Because the files are standard .brushset packages, they behave exactly like paid ones — full Apple Pencil pressure and tilt, adjustable size and opacity, and the ability to duplicate and re-tune any brush to taste.

Free sets stay small and general on purpose: they cover the fundamentals brilliantly but stop there. Premium packs go deep on a single job — tattoo stencils, paper textures, anime line and screentone brushes, hair and fur builders — with dozens of specialised brushes plus video walk-throughs.

The quality bar is identical. The difference is breadth and specialisation, so start free, find the styles you love, then upgrade only where you need the depth.

You can use artwork you create with our free brushes in commercial work — client illustration, prints, merch and social content. What you cannot do is resell or redistribute the .brushset file itself. When in doubt, the rule is simple: sell what you make with the brushes, not the brushes.
