This is the free taster of Manero Brushes' paid Watercolor Experience set: three brushes chosen to show how the full kit behaves, plus a ready-made Procreate canvas to try them on. It is small on purpose — enough to feel the washes before deciding whether you want the rest.
The download comes straight from the author's Gumroad store; we do not host the file. Below is what is actually inside, taken from the brushset itself.
The three brushes
- Grainy Pencil — a textured pencil for under-drawing that sits naturally under transparent washes.
- Super diluted 1 — a very thin, watery wash for first glazes and soft skies.
- Rough Wash — a broader wash with a broken, uneven edge, the kind you get from a half-loaded brush.

Pencil first, then build the washes
The three brushes map onto the classic watercolour order: a light pencil sketch, a diluted first pass, then rougher washes on top. Keep each pass on its own layer so you can control how much the grain of the pencil shows through.
The set also includes a test canvas file, so you can open it in Procreate and paint straight away instead of setting up paper and colours yourself.
