Hi, I'm Julia White
I'm the founder of Brusher. It started as my own toolbox — I'm an artist first, and I got tired of hunting across a dozen stores for brushes that actually felt good to draw with. So I began making my own, then sharing them.
Today Brusher is a small team of working artists. A handful of us draw, test and refine every brush by hand, and we create the tutorials and content ourselves — because the people teaching you how to use a brush should be the ones who made it. We're not a faceless store.

Who we are & our mission
Brusher started with a simple frustration: great brushes were scattered across dozens of stores, in inconsistent formats, with no easy way to tell quality from filler. Our mission is to fix that — to gather genuinely useful, hand-made brushes into one trustworthy library, priced fairly and ready to install in a single tap.
Every set is built by artists, for artists. We care about how a brush feels under the Apple Pencil, how cleanly it installs, and whether it actually saves you time on a real piece — not just how big the pack looks on a listing.
We also believe good tools shouldn't be locked behind a paywall to try. That's why there's always a set of free brushes to start with, and why every pack shows a preview of each brush before you buy — so you always know exactly what you're getting.
The website and the Brusher app
Brusher exists in two places. The Brusher app on iPhone and iPad is a browse-and-install library with 3,000+ brushes in the app, letting you download and drop collections straight into Procreate from your device.
This website is the download store: currently 43 packs (1450+ brushes) you can buy and download directly, browse by style, and preview brush-by-brush before you commit. The two work together — use whichever fits your workflow, on the go or at your desk.
We're actively growing the catalogue, so the number of packs on the site keeps climbing. Anything you buy is yours to keep and re-download, and free future updates to a pack are included.
How we make our brushes
Each brush is crafted and tested by hand — not auto-generated from a photo. We build the shape and grain sources, tune pressure and tilt response, set sensible defaults so a brush works the moment you load it, and check it stays responsive even on large, high-resolution canvases.
Packs are organised by real jobs — lettering, texture, tattoo, anime, and more — so you can find exactly what a piece needs instead of scrolling through hundreds of near-duplicates.
Where it helps, we ship the same set across formats — .brushset for Procreate and .abr for Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint — so your favourite brushes move with you between iPad and desktop.
Who it's for
Whether you're a complete beginner picking up your first free brushes, an illustrator building a professional kit, or a tattoo, comic or lettering artist who needs one specialised set, Brusher is built for you.
