Twenty-four pattern brushes that paint a repeating motif wherever you stroke — fill clothing, walls, backgrounds or lettering without drawing every repeat. The author says each pattern was drawn by hand, one by one.

Filling a shape with a pattern
Draw the shape, add a new layer, set it to Clipping Mask and paint over it with a pattern brush — the motif stays inside the shape. Set the layer to Multiply to let the shading underneath show through.
