Why a small set works
Professional illustrators often paint with very few brushes; knowing ten well beats scrolling through hundreds. This set covers the whole path of a painting — sketch, line, block-in, render, soft light — so it doubles as a lesson in which tool to pick at each stage. The illustrated guide in the download shows the same thing visually.
